Lambert boys move past Mill Creek in Round 1 Win.

April 25, 2018

Very GUTSY first-round playoff win for Varsity boys on Wednesday night as they edged Mill Creek 2-1 at The Horn. Boys fell behind 1-0 in the first 10 mins of the first half, but rallied for a Tyler Nadiak goal on an exhilarating pass from Kyler Darsey tying the game, 1-1.   'Horns took control in second half, pinning the Hawks in their defensive zone.  The pressure paid off with Lambert forcing a penalty from a hand ball in the final 20 mins.  Team Captain Trey Hines blasted home the decisive PK to  put Lambert up 2-1.    The ‘Horns held on for the win, needing a dramatic save by keeper Cole Scott in the waning seconds.

Now, it’s on to the second round of the playoffs...next Wednesday night, May 2, as the ‘Horns host perennial Gwinnett power Brookwood.  BE THERE!!!
