Once the Lambert Boys figured out how to break down the opposition, the floodgates opened as the Longhorns ran away with a 10-0 victory on Friday night over North Forsyth. Stellar play from the North goalkeeper kept the match scoreless until Eoin Griffiths struck a left footed-shot into the upper 90 just before halftime. In the second frame, everything came together as the Longhorns exploded for 9 goals, 4 off the foot of John Conahan. Hayden Fontana, Zane Ziegler, Nick Alliston and Grant Plaugher also got on the scoresheet, and Avery Dekshenieks and Arda Urgen combined to kept a clean sheet in goal for the team's second shutout of the season.
The boys will travel to South Forsyth on Tuesday, February 28 for a pivotal conference game. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Hook 'em, Horns!
